This role is based in Denmark and the documentation follows the Danish Building Regulations (BR18), so you need professional working proficiency in Danish as well as English.

BS Brandsikring is looking for a certified fire safety consultant for fire class 2, in Danish a certificeret brandrådgiver, brandklasse 2. You take responsibility for fire safety documentation and quality assurance across our projects, and you work closely with project managers, clients and authorities.

About BSB

We work with passive fire protection on some of the most demanding projects in Denmark, across construction, industry and pharma. We are based in Kalundborg and work across Denmark. Fire safety documentation is where our technical bar is highest, and it is the part of the job clients check.

Your role

• Preparing fire safety drawings and fire plans.
• Preparing and quality assuring fire safety documentation.
• Fire engineering review and assessment of building projects.
• Advising clients, architects and engineers.
• Drawing up fire strategies and fire engineering reports in line with BR18.

Who are you?

• Holds a valid certification as a fire safety consultant for fire class 2 under BR18, or is working towards it.
• Has experience with fire safety consultancy and documentation on building projects.
• Has experience with fire safety engineering design.
• Knows BR18 and the relevant guidance well.
• Works in a structured and independent way.
• Is eligible to work in Denmark.

You do not need experience. We train you from the ground up through our own in-house programme, BSB Academy. We are based in Kalundborg and our sites are spread across Zealand.

Join a team of specialists in fire protection

At BSB we work with passive fire protection across every kind of construction project, from refurbishment to new build. We help clients make sure their structures meet the safety standards and the legal requirements that apply to them.

What does the work involve?
As an installer you seal the openings where pipes, cables and ventilation ducts pass through walls, floor slabs and shafts, so that a fire cannot spread from one room to the next. The work includes:

• Firestopping of service penetrations through walls and floor slabs.
• Firestopping of service shafts and risers between floors.
• Linear joint seals in construction joints between building elements.
• Structural steel fire protection, so the steel keeps its load-bearing capacity in a fire.

You document your own work as you go, with photographs of the process, the materials and the finished result. It is skilled work that calls for care and precision, and we train you properly before you work on your own.

Where will you be working?
We are based in Kalundborg and our sites are spread across Zealand. We have had projects in Gentofte, Hillerød, Søborg and Slagelse alongside the large industrial plants around Kalundborg. The workplace follows the project, so expect to move to a new site when a job is finished.
